Lab Created Diamonds

Laboratory created diamonds have made waves in the jewelry industry lately, as they have rapidly grown in popularity. Many people are drawn to them for social reasons, environmental reasons, or simply because of the cost savings they provide. Much like an earth mined diamond, no two lab created diamonds are alike. They are created in a factory, starting with a tiny seed crystal. By using either high pressure, high temperature, or chemical vapor deposition methods, a rough diamond crystal is grown. From that diamond rough, a beautiful faceted gem is cut. Lab created diamonds are grown in a variety of colors and clarities, and contrary to popular belief, the resulting gems are not always perfect, so we look high and low to source the most beautiful lab created diamonds for your custom project. Moissanite

Moissanite is a gem that was first discovered in a meteor crater in Arizona by scientist Henri Moissan. In its natural form, moissanite is incredibly rare, so virtually all moissanite that you see in jewelry is created in a labratory. Colorless moissanite is a popular choice for engagement rings, but many people are unaware that moissanite can be grown in a rich green color, yellow, and black.

Moisannite is popular because of its durability, brilliance, and price. It is significantly less expensive than a diamond, but equally brilliant in its own special way. Moissanite is known for its rainbow flashes which differentiate it from a diamond. It is a 9.5 on the mohs scale, meaning it is harder than a sapphire, and makes a great choice for a center stone in an engagement ring.
